NAGS Monthly Meetings, 4th Saturday of the Month @ 1 PM:
NAGS ZOOM MEETING — 19 November 2022 @ 1 PM "Civil War Records" by Katie Gertz
Katie Gertz has been serving as the President of the Family History Society of Arizona (FHSA) for the past two years. Katie became her family historian in 2008. She has attended and presented at many genealogical workshops and seminars since 2011. Her personal genealogy research has taken her back to her 7th great-grandparents. Her ancestors settled in several counties of Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Like her passion for technology, genealogy presents interesting puzzles to solve. In addition to genealogical research, she owns and operates a home-based business where she repairs, installs, and teaches about personal computers. She is a certified Apple Product Professional and Microsoft partner.
Katie has researched a wide range of topics and will be sharing an overview of "Civil War Records." During the American Civil War, more than six million men served in the armed forces sometime between April 1861 and April 1865. They comprised roughly 2% of the population, and an estimated 620,000 men lost their lives in the line of duty. Please join us for Katie's presentation of this historically important topic.
